How to process a DNA Network Management file
Planner can get the DNA file from the field in any of the following format:
Text
CSV
TSV
It is important that the DNA files have at least the following fields:
#Type
Node ID
Node Name,
AID
Service State,
InstalledEqpt
Part#
Serial#, and
Product Ordering Name
The Planner will have the option to get the Service State. Ascendo process the entire file and first validates them for the correct fields. If the fields are missing or incorrect file is uploaded, Ascendo will show up an error indicating it is an invalid file (*Bad DNA File).
If the fie format is correct, Ascendo will extract the service state information and lets the Planner pick the service states to include for the overall analysis.
Once submitted, the rest of the analysis will go through automatically. If the file can be fully processed, Planner will get an email on the completion and they can come back to Ascendo and review the results.
If the analysis runs into issues, Ascendo will provide a method for the user to export and review the errors. The user can either fix the errors and upload the corrected file, reprocess the entire analysis, or continue as is with the valid records. The following shows what happens when there is an error:
