What is Node to Depot mapping?

Node to depot essentially maps the customer location information to a depot that needs to stock the part. Customers have the flexibility to store different commodity groups to different nodes. For example, the same node name with different commodity groups can be fulfilled by different depots. This type of mapping allows for a flexible way to manage customer locations to depots.

When Ascendo performs spares planning analysis, it takes into consideration the node to depot mapping and uses the customer install base part and associated commodity code to find the right Depot. If a mapping cannot be found, it provides error information. Planner can use the error records to either omit such records (may be erroneous from the field) or add missing node top depot mapping records.
